Once again, Mt. Airy USA and Trolley Car Diner are teaming up for a Friday-Saturday tag team of Hollywood’s finest selection of family-friendly flicks, and this year’s theme is “Around the World,” and the movies will take us to France, China… even Wakanda!
New this year, we’re staggering the weekends we’re showing them, which provides a double billing of good news: 1, it gives us flexibility for rain dates, and 2, it allows us to extend the lineup throughout the summer.
Also new this year, Friday nights will be at a rotating location. The first two, in June, will be at the newly renovated Lovett Park; the middle two, at the Pleasant Playground venue people had so much fun at the last two years (come early to go swimming at the Swim Philly pool); and the final two will be on the lawn at New Covenant Campus. We’ll also have two food trucks each week, a sweet and a savory. (Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out who and when.) Story time and book swap at 6:30pm, movie starts 10 minutes after sunset. Go HERE so see times for sunset in Philadelphia.
Saturday nights, as usual, will be at Trolley Car Diner. Come early for dinner, grab an adult beverage for the adults and some ice cream for the kids (of all ages). The ice cream shoppe will be open. Movies start 10 minutes after sunset at TCD too.
