Pumpkins, ghosts and bats, oh my! Mark your calendar for Pennypacker Mills’ All Hallows Eve Fall Festival! Bring family and friends to this fun event where kids are totally engaged with hands-on fun, crafts, and hayrides. This year, kids will make a fun paper crow, a bat hand puppet, an owl with moveable wings, and a black cat with a hand-traced body. Choose your favorite pumpkin and use your artistic skills to paint it as you wish. Next, try your hand at corn shucking, just the way farmers back in the early 1900’s prepared corn for their animals to eat. Visit the apple cider press to learn how apples were processed for cider making. You may find yourself shredding apples first, then pressing them to make cider. Try your hand at bean bag toss and jump in the hay pile. Finally, gather the entire family for a fun ride on the tractor-pulled hayride around the meadow. It’s bumpy, you’ll have a great view of the fall tree colors, and climbing on and off is part of the experience too!

Visit the Museum Shop: Located on the mansion porch, purchase Halloween decorations, old-fashioned stick candy, taffy, and toys.

What to Know: Masks must be worn and social distancing followed. Some activities will be held under our tents. The mansion will not be open today. This is a rain or shine event. Information: Call 610-287-9349 or email PennypackerMills@montcopa.org.

Fee: This is a free event, suggested donation $2/person.
