The Franklin Institute joins the national initiative to recognize the remarkable achievements of women in all facets of life – science, community, government, literature, art, sports, and medicine. Join us for a day dedicated to spotlighting female role models and their impact on our world, and hear from the region’s top experts in a variety of STEM fields including medicine, neuroscience, physics, and engineering.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Activities to celebrate Women in STEM Day:

• Science Spotlight! Female scientists from across the region, including our very own, share their science stories through hands-on demos and flash talks.

• Hands-on activities, featuring local partners from a variety of STEM fields, showcase the many opportunities available to women in the STEM arena.

• Performances by Philadelphia Studio Ballet

The event is in observance of National Women’s History Month, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the diverse and historic accomplishments of women.
