Spring Training: Benjamin Flower's Artificers and Makers

Join costumed living historians portraying artificers under Benjamin Flower as they recreate the work of supplying the Continental Army. Converse with costumed interpreters and try your hand at an array of trades.

Learn how shoemakers and hatmakers produced enough footwear and headgear for an army, watch as carpenters prepare blocks for soldiers’ cartridge boxes, help sew Continental Army uniforms, and meet Rebecca Flower Young, Benjamin Flower’s sister, who made flags and drum cases as a contract seamstress.
