There is something for everyone at Snipes Farm Day Camp!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Camp is set on an historic and bucolic 150-acre working sustainable farm with fields, woods and a farm museum.

Days begin with fun farm chores: feeding animals, tending the children’s garden, harvesting vegetables and cooking a morning snack.

Daily activities include: art, science, theater, music and games. Campers explore animal habitats; go on nature scavenger hunts; meet crawling, hopping and four-legged friends, as well as, 200 year old trees.

Fruit picking, fort building, painting and sculpting, juggling and circus arts are some favorite camp activities!

Campers are connected to the rhythm of life on the farm and make lasting friendships.

Our 2018 camp season runs from June 25th- August 24th (no camp on July 4th) for children ages 5-12 years old.

Camp hours are 8:30-3:30 with before and aftercare available. Before care begins at 7:30am and After Care goes until 6:00pm.

Our rate is $320 per week with an Early Bird Special, sibling and multiple week enrollment discounts and financial aid scholarships are available.

New in 2018! Snipes Farm Camp Leadership Program (CLP) for youth ages 12-14

The Camp Leadership Programs allows older campers to explore the farm in new ways with special projects, and include leadership and team building activities. A weekly field trip to a local park, museum, or recreation area will expand understanding about our community. Making lunch together once a week will include menu planning, harvesting and cooking everything from scratch. Leadership skills will be used to mentor younger campers at various times of the week.

Snipes Farm Day Camp Counselor-in-Training Program for youth ages 15-17

Be a special part of our camp community-apply to be a Counselor-in-Training (CIT)! A CIT gains training and leadership skills and supports the daily activities and life of the campers. CITs are volunteers who commit to a minimum of two weeks of service. CITs spend time on a working farm doing all the fun stuff that campers do while providing support to the camp staff. If your high school requires community service hours, consider Snipes Farm Day Camp as the perfect place to complete that requirement. Have fun and gain valuable skills at Snipes Farm this summer! More information about SFDC's CIT program can be found here. Interested in applying to become a CIT? Click here to download the CIT application, and email completed applications to Luanne at LuanneD@snipesfarm.org
