The horsemanship program at the Three Seven's Ranch is a leveled program. Passing each level requires the rider to pass both a written test and a riding test. The written test might include topics such as horse anatomy, whereas the riding test might include a demonstration of successful flying lead changes, depending on the level of the rider. Interspersed with the learning sessions are games and activities suited to the abilities of the riders. A certificate is given after a rider has passed each level. One-on-one, as well as group, instruction is provided by qualified instructors. Campers are paired with a Three Seven's Ranch horse that is appropriate for their riding skill level. At the completion of the program, graduates are awarded with a silver buckle. The number of campers accepted per week is limited so that each camper gets the time and instruction that they need. The campers will also get to take part in other activities such as swimming, kayaking, marksmanship, crafts, group games, and chapel services. Horsemanship Camp I and Horsemanship Camps II, III, IV are not levels of camp but are the four weeks of youth horsemanship camp that we offer. Youth of all different riding levels attend each one. Please visit our website (www.777ranch.org) for more information and/or to register for camp.
