Citizen Diplomat Academy

Citizen Diplomat Academy is a free, direct enrollment virtual high school exchange program with Philadelphia’s Sister Cities. In this cohort-based model, students from the Greater Philadelphia region meet in live, virtual sessions with students from one of our Sister Cities over the course of five weeks to become Citizen Diplomats.

The program runs for five weeks at various times of the year. This summer, students from the Greater Philadelphia region will meet weekly with students from Kobe, Japan. Cohort A of the program runs on Tuesdays from July 16 to August 20 from 7:00 am – 8:30 am EST | 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm JST, and Cohort B runs on Thursdays from July 18 to August 22 from 7:00 am – 8:30 am EST | 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm JST. Together, students develop key skills including cultural fluency, critical thinking, and more to increase their comfort and effectiveness as future leaders in a globalized world.
