In this animated family drama, adapted from the Neil Gaiman book by writer/director Henry Selick, 11-year-old Coraline (voice of Dakota Fanning) grumbles about her dingy family home until she finds a portal to an enchanting, brightly colored, alternative world of wonders.
As Coraline gets deeper into this new, vibrant version of her life she begins to see unnerving details indicating something dark and sinister may be afoot. She finds herself pulled between the glitz of this fake world and the ramshackle sincerity of her real home and family.
