Houston Grand Opera: Monkey and Francine

Monkey and Francine in the City of Tigers is a short children's opera from composer Kamala Sankaram and librettist David Johnston, commissioned and premiered by Houston Grand Opera in 2018. Inspired by Indian and Chinese mythology and the Bollywood style, this hilarious fable demonstrates the power of teamwork as a pair of monkey siblings save their kingdom from the wicked tigers.
