River Alive! Science Learning Trail Saturdays | Kids Out and About Philadelphia

River Alive! Science Learning Trail Saturdays

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 10/29/2022
Six benches and animal sculptures will be placed along Cayuga Street in Juniata Park to connect you to Tacony Creek: fox, fish, turtle, heron, water snake, and a river otter. Each sculpture will include an interactive water feature, song and sign. Poetry will connect the six stations along the trail, too! Some of the messaging will be water activated, appearing during rainfall or when you pour water on the ground.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately.

The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF) and Habitheque, working with local artists Miguel Horn and Jay Coreano, invite you and your family to help decorate the beautiful mosaic on the base of each animal using a paint by number system.

Join representatives from ISM every Saturday through October for free Science Saturdays, where they conduct programming based on one of the animal sculptures in the park!
