Take a close look at maple trees, especially sugar maple. How did the Native Americans and early settlers get their maple sugar? Learn to identify the tree and how we can make maple syrup from its sap. Taste maple sugar and pure maple syrup, and compare with commercial varieties. Hear a Native American legend about the discovery of maple sap.
