Upper Merion Township Summer Camps

Upper Merion Parks & Recreation offers a number of different summer camps, all designed to help your children grow and learn in a safe environment.

Adventure Day Camp I is a camp experience for children 5-13 years old, children must have completed kindergarten. Campers participate in daily cra­fts, games, and sports! Campers will have the opportunity to have fun and make new friends! ADC is a 6 week program that runs from June 24-Aug 2, 8:15AM-5:30PM. No camp July 4. For an added fee, campers will also have the opportunity to register for bus-ride field trips such as the zoo, the movies and Township pool! The ADC trip brochure will be available in late March/early April.

Adventure Day Camp has three great locations: Upper Merion Middle School, Gulph Elementary and the Community Center (ages 9-13 only)

NEW for 2019: Additional hours available at the Gulph Elementary location! You can now enjoy camp from 8:00AM-6:00PM. This offer is for 6 week, UM residents only. Sign up early, limited spots available. *This option maybe be cancelled due to low enrollment*

Adventure Day Camp II is a three week extension of ADC I. This 3 week camp will run from Aug 5-Aug 23, 8:15AM-5:30PM, at the UM Community Center. Campers ages 5-13 will enjoy games, sports, and crafts. As with ADC I, all campers must have completed kindergarten. For an added fee, campers will also have the opportunity to register for bus-ride field trips such as the zoo, the movies and swimming pool! This information will be available mid-July.

Camp Beechtree is a summer camp experience for children 3-6 years old. Campers participate in daily activities such as games, arts & crafts, songs and movement, splash pool, story time and more! Children must be fully potty-trained; no diapers or pull-ups are permitted. Please provide a snack, beverage and lunch. This is a six-week camp that runs from June 24-Aug 2, 9:00AM-1:00PM. No camp July 4.

Camp Beechtree has two great locations: Candlebrook Elementary and Gulph Elementary

Consortium for the Arts is a summer camp experience that invites you to expand your craft, express yourself, your talents, and your creativity in a diverse and inclusive environment! This year’s play is the “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”.

Consortium is open to all students entering grades 3-12. This summer’s program will take place at the Upper Merion Area High School. All participants will need to provide their own transportation.  Please send your child with a snack and water bottle.

Consortium will take place June 24-August 2, Monday-Friday from 8:15AM-12:30PM or for extended day 8:15AM-3:00PM. No camp July 4.

Teen Leadership Camp is a FUN and EDUCATIONAL opportunity for your teen. The Teen Leadership Camp is designed to help teens transition from a camper to a camp counselor. The Teen Leadership Camp is for teens ages 13-15 years old and will take place at the UM Middle School from June 24-Aug 2. No camp July 4.

Participants will learn how to become a camp counselor and a positive role model. Participants will spend time learning about leadership, camp policies/procedures, interview prep, leading camp activities and learning to handle various camp counselor situations. Participants will also gain hands on experience at one of the ADC/Beechtree locations and will become CPR/First Aid certified. Additional opportunities for participants will include, but not limited to, one excursion per week.
