Valentine Workshop for Kids

Spend a Saturday morning making creative Valentines for someone special on Saturday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to noon in our classroom. Kids ages five and older, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to attend this fun workshop where we’ll make four fun crafts – a unique vintage-inspired paper teacup, a decorative Valentine hanging made of hearts and lace doilies, a 3-D card that pops out when you open it, and a wooden picture frame with a special handprint and poem. Refreshments and games will be provided. There is a $5 fee for children and adults are free. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, January 31. If using a GPS, it will take you to our mailbox, not the main entrance. The entrance is located BEFORE the mailbox...look for a large grey and maroon sign and enter. Drive through the first parking lot and up the hill. Park in the upper parking lot and walk to the small beige stucco building for this workshop.
The Pennypacker Mansion will also be open for free guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last tour starts at 3 p.m. Pennypacker Mills was the home of Pennsylvania Governor Samuel Pennypacker. Tour two floors of this stately mansion where you will hear the story of this famous Pennsylvanian, and the times in which he and his family lived.
