Prenatal yoga will help increase the strength, flexibility, and stamina needed for labor. It helps pregnant women to develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques for an easier and more comfortable labor. The poses done in class will help relieve common pregnancy muscle tension and aches such as back & hip pain. The class offers gentler, less strenuous sequences of poses and greater use of props to support the body in poses. The teacher may offer a number of variations and use props to make poses comfortable and available to you during each stage of your pregnancy.
Props needed for class: Pillows, weights, blankets, cans, water bottles, chairs, and belts can be used as props. Get creative :)
