Theatre, Dance, Music, Acting, Baby and Me

Our award-winning educational programs are designed for youth from a wide range of backgrounds, communities, and schools. We engage with youth to explore all aspects of making theatre: story and expression, connection with others, examination of self, and discovery of the world—all while having fun!

Ranging from Dance Party Boot Camp to Belly Dance to Ballet, we have more than 25 different adult class offerings! Our Kids Programs include Dance, Movement, & Drama classes.

Comedy Classes

Sawubona Theatre for Creative Arts, Mental Well Being and Advocacy is a performing arts theatre space where teaching artist from Sawubona Creativity Project teach workshops and classes to children, teens and adults from underserved areas of Philadelphia. All of these SEL infused classes and workshops take place at our site in South Philadlelphia.

We offer live online magic classes for kids ages 7–17, taught by professional magicians. Students learn real tricks, performance skills, and storytelling in small group or private sessions. Programs range from beginner to advanced, with mailed kits a

Classes are for youths ages eight to fourteen. Each person receives their own Magic Kit with lots of cool tricks and a ticket to a Family Show.

Theatre Arts classes are offered in singing dancing and acting for students in grades K-12. These classes are offered on Saturdays in the fall and winter. We also offer a winter musical production (Annie Jr. this year) in December and a spring show.
