Quintessence Theatre Group is dedicated to bringing epic works of classic drama and literature to the contemporary stage. We call it "classics forward!" Our award-winning professional productions are presented in the historic Sedgwick Theater in Northwest Philadelphia.
As Philadelphia's text-based, actor-focused repertory theatre, Quintessence re-envisions the classics to inspire our community to consider what is essential in theatre and in human nature.
Under the care of Director of Education, Emily Moylan, the Phoenix and Turtle Club is an ensemble of young artists dedicated to performing classical works of drama and literature. Classes are year-round and summer camp is available.
