ANC Performing Arts Camp
ANC Performing Arts Camp offers an exciting theatrical experience for current 6th, 7th & 8th graders culminating in a performance of Disney’s "Finding Nemo, JR." Our professional group of teachers will lead your child through the process of blocking, vocal production, learning choreography and character development. The camp is held in the Mitchell Performing Arts Center located on the ANC campus and will run Monday, June 17, to Thursday, June 27, 2024, with the final performances Friday, June 30th at 4pm & 6:30pm.
This camp will foster the imagination, creativity and practical performance skills of the campers as well as provide a positive space to make new friends. Campers will be exposed to many aspects of theatre; those who are newer to this art form will be given an introduction and those with experience will be pushed to advance their skills. The camp will feature break-out sessions such as sound, rigging, stage combat, lighting, theatrical/jazz dance technique and theatrical make-up, as well as rehearsals for the performance of “Finding Nemo, JR.”
Camp sessions will run from 9am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. The first day of camp will run 9am-3pm. Campers should bring their own brown bag lunch and will have access to a refrigerator and microwave. All campers will be included onstage for the performances of Disney’s “Finding Nemo JR.” which will be at 4pm & 6:30pm on Thursday, June 27th, at the Mitchell Performing Art Center.
The cost of Performing Arts Camp is $525 which includes a keepsake script, digital download of the dress rehearsal video, and camp t-shirt. Campers will be provided with a costume to wear during the performance but are required to provide their own dance shoes and undergarments as well as rehearsal clothing. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and final payment is due by May 1, 2024. There is a discount of $50 off the camp total for deposits received before April 1, 2024. Gift certificates in any denomination are available for purchase. For more information, please email sarah.waelchli@ancss.org or call 267.502.2678.
