Jazz Jam! Camp

Jazz Jam! Camp Director, Upper Darby’s own Hiruy Tirfe, is back with his “Recipe for Jazz” for young players – and some talented new additions to our staff! Explore the world of jazz by unlocking the secret to transpositions, improvisation, composition, and break into combos guided by of the best jazz players in the Philadelphia scene! Young musicians can learn the ingredients of swing, funk, and ballads while learning how the best in the business communicate musically – without saying a word!

Camp Information
Dates: Monday, July 10th through Friday, July 14th, 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Location: Drexel Hill Middle School, 3001 State Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026
In District Fee: $180.00
Out-of-District Fee: $225.00
Limited scholarships are available for Upper Darby School District students.
Campers must bring their own lunch.
Campers must have 2 years experience on instrument. Band instruments only. Electric Bass/Guitar welcome. Elementary & Middle School students only. Can be new to jazz or have limited jazz experience.
We will be following recommended CDC guidelines as of 7-10-23.
