At Walker’s, we believe that demonstrable skills are the best measure of learning including literacy, critical thinking, a global perspective, taking initiative, leadership, collaboration, communication, and creativity.
These 40-minute art appreciation lessons are designed for children ages 7-12. During the lessons we will immerse ourselves into the story of a wonderful artwork. We'll use our imagination and our thinking skills to figure out what is happening. And, then, we'll understand a little bit more about ourselves by empathizing with the characters.
UCAL offers afterschool programming and an early dismissal study group/arts programming ranging from drawing and painting to puppetry, pottery and performance art/dance.
Classes are offered in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, metal working, jewelry making, cartooning, music, and culinary arts.
Afterschool Arts: Includes but not limited to Guitar, Visual Art, Theatre Writing and Performance. Saturdays: "danceLogic" combines dance and computer coding for girls age 10 thru teens (throughout school year). Photography/Poetry (5 week sessions)
We offer virtual and in person tutoring to students in grades PreK - 6 in reading, ela, spelling, math, and spanish. Lessons are $25 per hour and we offer services 7 days a week.
