Our award-winning educational programs are designed for youth from a wide range of backgrounds, communities, and schools. We engage with youth to explore all aspects of making theatre: story and expression, connection with others, examination of self, and discovery of the world—all while having fun!

Ranging from Dance Party Boot Camp to Belly Dance to Ballet, we have more than 25 different adult class offerings! Our Kids Programs include Dance, Movement, & Drama classes.

Comedy Classes

Sawubona Theatre for Creative Arts, Mental Well Being and Advocacy is a performing arts theatre space where teaching artist from Sawubona Creativity Project teach workshops and classes to children, teens and adults from underserved areas of Philadelphia. All of these SEL infused classes and workshops take place at our site in South Philadlelphia.

UCAL offers afterschool programming and an early dismissal study group/arts programming ranging from drawing and painting to puppetry, pottery and performance art/dance.

Afterschool Arts: Includes but not limited to Guitar, Visual Art, Theatre Writing and Performance. Saturdays: Dance Logic combines dance and computer coding for girls age 10 thru teens (throughout school year). Photography/Poetry (5 week sessions)

Theatre Arts classes are offered in singing dancing and acting for students in grades K-12. These classes are offered on Saturdays in the fall and winter. We also offer a winter musical production (Annie Jr. this year) in December and a spring show.
